We offer an array of services to meet the needs of the entire spectrum of eating disorders,  weight-related disorders and psychological services.  We believe that each client is unique and we have a talented multidisiplinary team of psychotherapists, nutrition counselors, movement therapists and art therapists who provide treatment based on individual personalities and needs.


Beth Riley, MSW LISW-CP

Beth Riley, MSW, LISW-CP

Beth is an honors graduate of Stanford University.  She earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.  She has been practicing for 15 years and has developed a local, regional and national reputation as a leader in clinical excellence in the field of eating and weight-related disorders.  Her practice uses an innovative, personalized and collaborative treatment model.  

Beth is a member of the IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals), NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association),  the Binge Eating Disorder Association,  Obesityhelp,  the Obesity Action Committee, the Clinical Social Workers Association and the South Carolina Clinical Society of Social Workers.  Beth has recently been named Education Chair of the Charlotte Chapter of IAEDP.  

Beth has offered educational workshops for local and regional organizations(including  the SC Clinical Society,  The Greenville County School System,  Anderson University,  Furman University,  Wofford College,  St. Francis Hospital,  the Pavillon and  Spartanburg AHEC.)  

Riley Therapy provides corporate consulting services and  in-house counseling options to corporations and healthcare facilities.






Lisa Shohen, MA LPC                                                                                                  

Lisa is a graduate of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and received a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Centenary College. She interned with Beth Riley. Upon completion of her graduate work, she joined the practice at Riley Therapy, specializing in Eating Disorders.

Lisa's primary areas of focus are working with adolescents and young adults in both individual and group settings. She specializes in Eating Disorders, and works with other issues including Self Esteem, Anxiety, Depression, Loss and Grief, Co-Dependency, Crisis/Trauma, Gay/Lesbian Issues, Women's Issues, Personal Growth and Spirituality.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Lisa is also a Nationally Certified Counselor.

                                                                                  




Ginny Gross, MA LPC/I
 

Ginny is a graduate of Furman University and received a Masters in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado. Ginny  is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the state of South Carolina. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association.

Ginny specializes in working with people who are overweight, obese, and emotional overeaters. Working through some of the possible fallout issues such as negative body image and self-esteem, depression, healthy living, occupational problems, weightism, bullying, eating disorders/disordered eating, and family issues often helps people gain self-efficacy and long-term success.

Ginny is passionate about helping people live healthy lives to their fullest in all dimensions. She believes this involves a holistic approach to life involving the cognitive, emotional, physical, enterprise, and spiritual aspects. Ginny has experience working with adults, children, and families. She also works with people who have had or are preparing to have weight loss surgery. Ginny creates an individualized treatment plan for each person working together with physicians, registered dieticians, exercise physiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
 
 
 
 
  
 

Ella Walker Henderson, MA LPC/I

Ella Walker received her BA in Psychology from Furman University and received her Master's in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.   
 
Ella Walker works with women of all ages, including adolescents. She specializes in eating disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and spirituality. Depending on the comfort level of the client, she integrates faith into the counseling process.  Ella Walker is passionate about helping women to develop positive body image and self-esteem.
